THE VISION STATEMENT

Sheikh Tahir Yousaf and the other Trustees had a very clear vision. The idea was to form an ideal school system in which poor students get the best quality education free or on low cost. It aimed at setting an example for other people so that those who believe in and want to contribute to the education sector can come forward and build and run more schools like the one established by the Trust. Their aim is to build a chain of such schools across Pakistan to benefit those who are too poor to afford quality education.

Our first and foremost responsibility is to the deprived children of Pakistan who will be fostered and nurtured in our schools. They must be given complete, all-embracing and comprehensive education. The best skills in modern and academic subjects to prepare them for the higher endeavors in life, also the more traditional knowledge of language, literature, art and humanities to develop their personalities in taking up social responsibilities of the future. This must be done in a disciplined, constructive, harmonious and a clean environment free from disturbances, disorganizations and distractions.

The second responsibility is to our donors, members, advisors and participants. The resources of TEDDS shall only be employed EXCLUSIVELY to create learning opportunities for children from the under-privileged segment of the Pakistani society. The funds employed shall be fully optimized - austerity in expenses, without compromising basic needs and essentials in achieving quality results. The procedures adopted shall always be absolutely transparent and compliant to the objectives of the Trust. Financial discipline and sincerity to the purpose is our promise.

Our responsibilities extend to our teachers and faculty members who are so very crucial in achieving our mission. The faculty at TEDDS must be experienced and knowledgeable to meet the standards of their discipline while being compassionate and kind to fulfill the role of an efficient teacher, inspiring guide and a through bread educator. They must be appropriately compensated and continuously trained to enhance their knowledge and sharpen their teaching skills.

TEDDS responsibilities are to other agencies, private or government; to fulfill all our commitments, legal, financial and professional. To be a positive and constructive member to the communities and the cities that house our schools.

And finally our vouch is to Pakistan - in providing an avenue of future and progress for its people. Cherished goal of nation building through human resource development cannot be achieved without providing quality education to the teaming millions of deprived but talented children in Pakistan.
